How did you start your career?

I started blogging in 2006 back when we were like bedroom bloggers, just doing it for the love of it, doing it as a hobby and I’m very lucky that hobby managed to segway Into a career.

What’s a cause that is important to you?

A cause that is really important to me is breast cancer research because my mom was diagnosed with it a while back, she’s in remission now. It’s something that I know is affecting lots of women that I know and it’s just something quite important to me.

Most rewarding aspect of your work ?

The most rewarding aspect about my work is being exposed to creativity at its most nascent level in fashion. My favourite part of my job is discovering new talent.

What are the three things you can’t live without?

The three things that I can’t live without are statement earrings - as you can see; a really good slip dress - great for layering; and great selection of hosiery like tights, socks, I’m really into a big selection of tights and socks.

Jumpsuit or dress?

Definitely dress because you can go to the toilet more easily

What do you find the most challenging?

What I find the most challenging currently on a day to day basis is balancing enough time with my daughter and doing everything that I need to do for work and the feeling of constantly not doing enough in either respect. There is a lot of mom guilt and work guilt, but I’m trying to maybe cancel out the guilt and just be happy with the time that I do get to spend with my daughter.

What has motherhood taught you?

Motherhood has taught me probably a new level of selflessness. I think before motherhood I was maybe a little bit on the selfish side. I was wanting to do so many things, trying to do as much as possible but you've got to take a step back when you have a child, you’ve got different priorities. I think being able to see the bigger picture is what motherhood has taught me.

What’s your ultimate styling advice?

My ultimate styling advice, I’m not sure I should be giving styling advice because I generally “pile it on like a Christmas tree”. Is that an advice?!

What’s your mantra?

It’s not necessarily my mantra that I practice but it’s one that I feel like I should practice. Just let it go, not in a way as in frozen, just let things go, don’t let things get to you as much as they do. It’s probably been the hardest lesson I’ve learned.
